In 2010, I conceived, designed and curated a 20,000 square foot traveling exhibition retrospective of NASA’s manned space program for Europe. In addition to supervising the construction of scale models of spacecraft hardware, I designed all the galleries in Rhino and rendered them in Maxwell.
The Exhibition consisted of seven galleries and contained original hardware, as well as replica, full-size spacecraft. I also supervised a team of former Industrial Light & Magic model makers creating a number of model versions of spacecraft, including a tenth scale Apollo Launch Vehicle (39’/10m long).
As part of my creative role within White Room Artifacts, I was often called upon to create concepts for clients for projects they would like built. Below was a booth concept for a conference for the NASA exhibition. On the right and bottom is a concept for a full size installation in New York City for Cinemax.
